When I studied at a primary school, my teacher who taught me Chinese asked me a question.

“Luo Shilin, what are you going to be when you grow up?”

I replied, “I want to be a taxi driver.” Then I told her the reason. “This job works well. What’s more, it could make money, and I am able to get a license.”

My teacher just smiled a joked with me. “Hope to ride in your taxi one day!” But at last, she suggested to me, “You’d better make a dream like to touch the sky.” From then on, the words “touch the sky” always have an effect on me.

As time goes by, I find the world around us is so beautiful. Besides, I have learned to communicate with others. On the one hand, I start to make friends with others. On the other hand, I also start to do something that adults do, such as visiting friends or traveling. I think no one likes to be regarded as a child forever. However, the more knowledge you master, the happier you are. In my spare time, I enjoy sitting in front of my computer to write something and I enjoy climbing mountains with my close friends, because I hope to learn a lot from our world to pursue my dream.

It’s true that our lives are short, but one thing will exist forever that we do make contributions to improving our world. A famous writer said, “The value of human beings is linked to the contribution they have made to the world.” Now, maybe you know the aim to touch the sky. Well, do you still think my dream was kept in the trunk of my car? You aren’t right if you think so.

Touch the sky. I imagine a white rocket flying over the sky. Then, I come up with a question. How can I achieve my goals? Our Chairman Mao told us failure is the mother of success. So we are required to be more confident, brave, and patient. And we can touch the sky if the lucky chance is caught by us. Is there a lucky chance or a white rocket waiting for me? I don’t know. I just believe if I try my best to realize my dream, the chance that belongs to me exists.

With the belief, if I work hard, it must get better. Now, my ability to host has improved a lot. I feel excited on it. Not only that, I am thankful to the foreign teachers, they always did me a favor when I had difficulties in broadcasting. And it was the most fun time for me to talk with them. On the one hand, they are willing to talk about anything that I want. Then it can be good for my English. On the other hand, by the radio show, the foreign teachers can share useful information and interesting things with all students in the school. How nice they are!

There is a saying: practice makes perfect. So I am going to keep on working hard all the time. And I believe in myself. I will do a good job one day. As teenagers, we should cherish everything around us. And apart from working hard, we must be confident, and then it will make our lives full of vigor and vitality.
